It has been long since my last blog post and the place has started to feel somewhat dormant. But soon enough things will start turning up and the everything will become livelier again. For a start, I'll be showcasing two games that I worked on at the IndiePrize showcase at Casual Connect Asia (Singapore). Here's a little gist:

I've been working on Spellbound since a really long time (almost feels like an eternity now). I first came up with the idea in my first year of college and every now and then since then, it has been taking a more concrete shape. Yet it has always been far off from the ambitious dreams I have about the game. I have now decided to let those dreams happen in parts and make Spellbound have a chapter-wise release cycle. So, if all goes well, Chapter 1: His Majesty's Woes should be releasable by some time this year. Being a part of Casual Connect would greatly help up the motivation and progress.

A collaborative effort with Mudit Jaju and Kinshuk Sunil (from Hashstash), Huerons has transformed from an experimental game idea to an award winning game in a short span of time. And now it will be a part of the indie showcase at Casual Connect Asia.

Huerons is the first game where I'm collaborating as an artist / UI designer and not a programmer. It is a different perspective and has been quite interesting to explore it thus far.

A stepping stone has been set, but there are a lot more milestones to unlock in the future. The movie has only begun. :)

Until next time...
